The lamp I received was white w/ black filaments running through the white. The unit flickers off and on when disturbed. I replaced the enclosed bulb with a GE 25 watt chandelier, and made sure it was seated, and still get the flicker if the lamp is touched. I have two other salt lamps that came in the colors promised, one yellow, one pink/orange, but they came from other distributors. The primary reason I give this item such a low rating is obviously that the color was not as described, and the wiring seems faulty. Because I am using it only as a night light I don't have a major complaint about the problems, but if I had purchased it as a display piece I would have sent it back.

I have ordeded this item and did not have tooo much hope on this product.When i received the produt i felt soo happy.The packaging was enough to protect the lamp form mishandelling it.The light was enough to fill my bed room during nights.The colour was soo relaxing and soothing.Totally i was happy for the price i got it and i feel it is totally worth buying.My husband was so excited seeing the lamp in our bed room.

I ordered 3 of these on 7/25/2010 and was very pleased with both the packaging and the quality of the lamps themselves. The three salt crystals varied in color from a lighter white to a nice apricot to a deep red, this is to be expected with a a natural products. The crystals were all large and intact - I experienced none of the shipping damage noted by others. I was very pleased with the price I paid for the lamps and have given them as gifts.

received two salt lamps from amazon today. can't decide which one to keep and which to give as a gift. both were well wrapped and beautiful. after ordering, i saw one in a local store, it was rough and ugly. i was worried.i am so surprised and delighted today, they are gorgeous!
