Your typical surge protector. Child-safe covers are a nice addition and don't get in the way. They slide pretty easily though so I'm not sure how effective they'd be. Has four screw holes for mounting in cord-up or cord-down orientation, no horizontal mounting. Plug comes straight out of wall, not angled.

I bought this surge protector because of the right angled plug mentioned in the description, unfortunately it is just a standard straight plug. A right angled plug would have fit much better behind my bookshelf.

The child protection outlets do not have a spring to automatically cover, so they aren't as safe as they could be, but they seem good enough to me.

If you don't care about the right angled plug, this is a good buy and free shipping is always great.

I think this surge protector is my all-time favorite. I currently have three (two from Walmart and one from Amazon), and they all work wonderfully. They are relatively low cost, but still offer quite a bit of surge protection (1440 joules...not bad at all). When I need another, this is the one I'll get. 10/10!
