This three-channel remote works with all Chamberlain "Security+" garage door openers with rolling-code technology. ("Rolling code" means that with every push, the remote transmits a brand new security code-one of over 100 billion codes, none of which is ever repeated, thus foiling "code grabbers.") The 953CB operates up to three garage doors and includes a button for turning garage-door opener lights on and off.

Uses one long-life 12-volt lithium battery (included); a yellow LED indicates battery strength. Compatible with garage door openers with red "learn" button and Chamberlain garage door openers built prior to 1 June, 2005; will replace Chamberlain remote controls with gray buttons. We moved into a house recently that only had single button remotes for the garages, this upgrade gives us the ability to open either garage with one remote. We bought two of them and they are working really well. This was easy to setup and I was careful to buy the correct model based on the age of our garage door openers, this is important as buying the wrong one will guarantee that it won't work.

Wonderful experience! The garage door opener remote control was shipped in a timely manner and works perfectly.
I have the garage door opener with the "orange" learn button and the remote control programmed easily following the enclosed directions.
Searching - ordering - paying - receiving was very straight forward and pleasant.

I purchase these Chamberlain remotes everytime a change renters on the property. They always manage to loose them (!). These units are simple and quick to re-program. Never had a prob with them. I just wish I had a use for those two extra buttons !
